The Siberian wilderness becomes one of the game’s defining settings, with Lara navigating snow-covered landscapes, ancient ruins, underground tombs and treacherous mountain environments. Hunting, crafting, climbing and exploration all play important roles as Lara attempts to survive while continuing her search for Kitezh.
The story also develops Lara’s relationship with her father and his research into the Divine Source, providing a more personal motivation behind her expedition.
The Second Chapter of the Survivor Trilogy
Rise of the Tomb Raider is the second game in the Survivor trilogy, following the 2013 reboot and preceding Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
The Tomb Raider (2013) poster captures the beginning of Lara’s transformation, while Rise shows her growing into a more capable and determined adventurer. The story continues in the Shadow of the Tomb Raider, where Lara faces the consequences of her actions and embarks on her most dangerous adventure yet.
