Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – Nathan Drake’s Final Adventure
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End brings Nathan Drake’s story to its conclusion, following the events of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. After stepping away from his life as a fortune hunter, Drake is drawn back into the world of thieves when his brother Sam suddenly returns and asks for his help. Their search for the legendary treasure of pirate Captain Henry Avery takes them across the globe, eventually leading them towards the lost pirate colony of Libertalia in Madagascar. The adventure combines treasure hunting, exploration, puzzles and the large-scale action that had become synonymous with the Uncharted series.
Released in 2016, A Thief’s End was developed by Naughty Dog for PlayStation 4 and was presented by PlayStation as the closing chapter of Nathan Drake’s story.
The Search for Captain Henry Avery’s Treasure
At the heart of Uncharted 4 is the search for the lost treasure of Captain Henry Avery. What begins as a dangerous treasure hunt develops into a globe-trotting adventure involving Drake, Sam and their allies.
From Madagascar and its surrounding environments to ancient ruins, remote locations and the remains of Libertalia, the game creates a fitting final adventure for one of PlayStation’s most recognisable characters.
Nathan Drake and Sam Drake
Uncharted 4 places the relationship between Nathan and his older brother Sam at the centre of the story. Sam’s unexpected return gives Nathan a personal reason to become involved in another dangerous expedition, despite having supposedly left his treasure-hunting days behind. The result is an adventure that is as much about Drake’s relationships and choices as it is about finding lost treasure. The stakes are more personal, giving the final chapter a different tone from the adventures that came before it.
The Final Chapter of Nathan Drake’s Story
As the fourth mainline Uncharted game, A Thief’s End represents the culmination of the journey that began with Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. For fans collecting the original four adventures, this poster completes the core Nathan Drake collection alongside Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The complete set is also available as the Uncharted 1–4 Poster Bundle.
Dark Key Art Design
This poster is based on the dark key art for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, giving the design a more dramatic and atmospheric appearance. The darker artwork provides a striking backdrop for the minimalist gallery-style layout while keeping the focus firmly on Nathan Drake and the game’s distinctive visual identity.
The design follows the established Gamers Gallery format, with the Uncharted 4 title positioned above the main artwork, six colour swatches sampled from the image in the top-left and key game information arranged in the top-right. A short story summary and the game’s 2016 release year sit beneath the artwork, with the relevant PlayStation platform branding completing the design at the bottom.
