Henry’s Story Continues
Released in 2025, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II continues the story of Henry, the blacksmith’s son introduced in the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Once again set in 15th-century Bohemia, the game expands the series’ historically grounded world while continuing Henry’s personal journey through a period of political turmoil and conflict.
Following the events of the first game, Henry finds himself drawn deeper into the struggles surrounding the kingdom. His experiences have transformed him from an inexperienced young man into a capable survivor, but the world around him remains every bit as dangerous. The sequel builds on the foundations established by the original while introducing a much larger adventure. Henry travels through new regions, encounters new characters and becomes involved in events that reach far beyond the conflicts of his earlier life.
For players who experienced the first game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II feels like a genuine continuation of Henry’s story rather than a completely separate adventure. The world, characters and historical setting all build upon what came before.
A Larger Medieval World
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II significantly expands the scale of the series. The adventure takes Henry beyond the areas explored in the original game, introducing new settlements, castles, countryside and urban environments. One of the most notable additions is the city of Kuttenberg, a historically important medieval settlement that provides a very different environment from the smaller villages and rural locations found throughout the first game.
The world remains grounded in historical detail. Medieval architecture, clothing, weapons, armour and everyday life have all been recreated with the same emphasis on authenticity that helped define the original Kingdom Come. As you travel through Bohemia, the environment continues to feel like a living place rather than simply a collection of game levels. Characters go about their daily lives, settlements have their own routines and the changing circumstances of the story can alter what is happening around Henry.
That attention to detail creates a world where exploration remains an important part of the experience.
Medieval Combat Refined
The sequel retains the grounded combat system of Kingdom Come: Deliverance while expanding and refining the options available to Henry. Sword fighting remains based around positioning, timing and attack direction, while different weapons provide different approaches to combat. Players can also make use of shields, armour and other equipment as they face individual opponents or larger groups.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II also expands Henry’s arsenal with additional weapons and combat possibilities, including firearms that reflect the technological developments of the period. But combat remains only one part of the role-playing experience. Henry can use stealth, dialogue and other skills to approach situations in different ways, with character development and equipment influencing how he deals with the challenges presented throughout the adventure.
The result is a sequel that maintains the grounded philosophy of the original while giving players more tools with which to explore its world.
History Meets Role-Playing
Like its predecessor, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II takes inspiration from real medieval history while telling a fictionalised story around Henry and the people he encounters. The game is set during a particularly turbulent period in Bohemian history, with political tensions and conflicts shaping the events around the protagonist. Historical figures and locations sit alongside fictional characters and storylines, helping create a world that feels both authentic and dramatic.
The role-playing systems remain closely tied to this setting. Henry’s reputation, abilities, equipment and relationships can influence how he interacts with the world, while different approaches to quests allow players to develop their own version of his character. Rather than presenting Henry as an unstoppable fantasy hero, the game continues to emphasise his place within medieval society. He has to learn, adapt and make his way through a world governed by social status, politics, wealth and violence.
That grounded approach is one of the defining characteristics of the Kingdom Come series.
From Henry’s Origins to a New Chapter
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is the direct continuation of Henry’s story, making the two games particularly well suited to being displayed together.
The original Kingdom Come: Deliverance poster celebrates the game that introduced Henry and established the series’ vision of historically grounded medieval role-playing. The sequel builds upon that foundation, taking Henry into a larger conflict and a considerably expanded world. Displaying both posters together creates a natural visual timeline of Henry’s journey, from the blacksmith’s son first discovering the dangers of medieval Bohemia to the more experienced character he becomes in the sequel.
For fans of the series, the two designs work particularly well as a pair while still standing independently as individual pieces of gaming wall art.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Poster Design
This Kingdom Come: Deliverance II poster uses the game’s main artwork as its central visual, bringing the medieval atmosphere and characters of the sequel to the forefront.
The game title sits above the main image, while the upper-right section contains key information including the developer, publisher, genre and original launch platforms. Six colour swatches sampled from the artwork are positioned at the upper left, creating a compact visual reference to the palette used throughout the design.
Below the main image is a concise synopsis of the game accompanied by its original release date, giving the poster additional context without cluttering the presentation. The bottom of the design features the original launch platform logos, completing the structured gaming-poster format.
The result combines the detailed artwork and historical atmosphere of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II with a clean, minimalist layout designed to work as part of a modern gaming collection.
