CONTROL Resonant Poster – A World Beyond Reality

Released in September 2026, CONTROL Resonant continues the story established in Remedy Entertainment’s acclaimed 2019 action-adventure game. This time, the focus shifts from Jesse Faden to her brother Dylan, whose life has been shaped by years of confinement at the hands of the Federal Bureau of Control.

Following the events of the original game, Dylan emerges into a world facing a new paranatural catastrophe. Manhattan has become a distorted landscape where familiar streets, buildings and physical laws are transformed by mysterious forces. As reality begins to break down, Dylan must confront dangerous entities, understand his own extraordinary abilities and search for his missing sister, Jesse. The game expands the series into a larger action-RPG experience, combining exploration, character progression and intense combat. Dylan’s journey takes him through interconnected areas filled with hidden encounters, strange discoveries and threats that challenge his understanding of the world around him.

At the heart of the story is a question that has followed Dylan throughout his life: who is he when he is no longer defined by the people and forces that controlled him? His struggle for identity and redemption gives the supernatural spectacle a deeply personal dimension.

This poster celebrates the key art for CONTROL Resonant, capturing the striking visual identity of Remedy’s latest journey into the unknown.

Dylan Faden and the Paranatural Crisis

Dylan has a complicated history with the Federal Bureau of Control. As a child, he was taken by the organisation and held within its facilities, where attempts to understand and control his abilities had devastating consequences. His connection to the Hiss, the supernatural force at the centre of the original Control, ultimately contributed to one of the Bureau’s greatest disasters.

After Jesse intervened during the events of the first game, Dylan remained in a coma for years. His awakening marks the beginning of a new chapter, but the world he returns to is far from safe. The paranatural crisis has spread beyond the Bureau’s headquarters, bringing reality-warping dangers into the streets of Manhattan. With Jesse missing, Dylan must navigate a city that seems to have abandoned the rules of ordinary existence. Buildings and streets become unfamiliar, gravity can behave unpredictably, and hostile entities emerge from the distorted environment.

The story builds on the mystery surrounding the FBC while giving Dylan the opportunity to become more than the subject of its experiments. His journey is both a fight for survival and an attempt to understand the forces that have shaped his life.

For fans of the original game, the sequel offers a new perspective on familiar events and characters, while introducing a much broader setting for Remedy’s distinctive brand of supernatural storytelling.

Reality-Bending Combat and Exploration

One of the biggest changes in CONTROL Resonant is its approach to combat. Whereas the original game centred on Jesse’s supernatural abilities and transforming Service Weapon, Dylan uses a different combination of powers and weaponry. His primary weapon, known as the Aberrant, is a shapeshifting melee weapon that can transform into different forms, including a powerful two-handed hammer and swift dual blades. These transformations allow players to adapt their fighting style to the enemies and situations they encounter.

Dylan’s supernatural abilities also play an important role in exploration and combat. He can manipulate his surroundings, move through environments that defy conventional physics and exploit the strange conditions created by the paranatural crisis. Manhattan itself becomes part of the challenge. Gravity anomalies and distorted spaces introduce unusual puzzles and tactical opportunities, while interconnected areas reward players who take the time to investigate their surroundings.

This combination of physical combat, supernatural abilities and environmental manipulation gives the sequel a distinctive identity. It retains the surreal atmosphere of the original Control while pushing the series towards a more expansive action-RPG experience.

From Control to the Wider Remedy Universe

The original Control poster celebrates Jesse Faden’s investigation into the Federal Bureau of Control and the mysteries hidden inside the Oldest House. Its blend of supernatural action, strange architecture and unsettling discoveries established a distinctive identity for the series. CONTROL Resonant builds on that foundation while expanding the story beyond the Bureau’s headquarters. Dylan’s search for Jesse provides a direct connection to the first game, making the two designs natural companions for fans of Remedy’s unusual take on supernatural storytelling.

The connections extend beyond Control itself. Remedy has developed a shared universe that brings together elements of its different games, with Alan Wake and Control connected through supernatural events, recurring organisations and overlapping mysteries.

The Alan Wake poster celebrates the original 2010 psychological thriller, following the troubled writer as he searches for his missing wife in the mysterious town of Bright Falls. Its emphasis on darkness, distorted reality and unsettling storytelling makes it a fitting companion to the Control games. For a more modern interpretation of Remedy’s horror universe, the Alan Wake 2 poster celebrates the 2023 sequel, which expands the series’ psychological horror and explores further connections between Alan’s story and the wider supernatural mythology.

Together, these posters offer a way to celebrate the distinctive worlds Remedy has created, from the mysterious corridors of the Oldest House to the dark forests of Bright Falls and the warped streets of Manhattan.
